Depeche Mode @ Halle Tony Garnier

My curiosity will kill me one day.

My dear friend [info]swarfiga loves Depeche Mode and talked about their shows for months to me.
As I'm naturally curious, specially about music, I accepted with joy and excitement, to see the band in Lyon. What an idea! Though, I have any regrets, don't get me wrong.
How have some?! 15 000 persons, me included, did have 120 minutes of pure happiness.

I can say it now, I am deeply in love, like really deeply in love, with Dave Gahan mic's support. The way Dave uses it, moves, dances, looks at you.
Geez, when he starred at me, I swear it was the longest 3 mississippi ever.

Anyway, even if Dave was, I must admit it, the main event of the night, he wasn't my only reason to gig that night.
The show was wonderful, as [info]swarfiga predicted it. We spent the whole day waiting for it (I mean it, the whole day), now I understand why. Front row, any moshing, just a few fangirls, magical.

Lights, music, band members, everything was awesome. As I said it to my mates, I took 3 slaps that night. 1 for the lights, 1 for the music (mostly because I don't know that much their songs), and 1 for the guys. Gorgeous, happy to share passion and love until the exhaustion, surprising and naughty. ♥

Thank for it [info]swarfiga (and Owilm as well ♥)

# In other news, I can say it officially now, I'm heading to Rochester in January, to study Contemporary Photography to the UCA for a semester!

# I'll be a bit busy next week as I'm in Cardiff/London from Monday to Thursday and then, in Paris with my family for the weekend (aka I gonna spend 48h playing at Mass Effect with my brother...) Though I will have internet anyway to keep you in touch.

That's all for now I suppose, wish you a nice weekend ;)

As I said in my last post, I will give a reason per day to [info]nenya_22 to watch Doctor Who.
The fact is, after the #1, she is already searching for episodes!
But I will not stop anyway (and that gives me a huge excuse to watch it again...)

You can see here you're daily dose of Doctor Who/A bit of honesty that's only to share David Tennant love or nearly: Doctor Who Tales

I said once I will never again take a train/plane before 7am. Well, I have to add another rule:

# 2: Never planning a trip which lets you spend more than 10h in a train.

Well, in my case, 4 trains. (Bazinga!) + 1 trip in Glasgow subway + 1 trip in Glasgow center = A bit late at the gig. (Yes I lost myself in Glasgow)
BUT on time to see Kasabian.
Anyway, as I arrived at the beginning of Reverend and The Makers' set, I thought about having my usual pre-gig beer. While trying to get my drink, I ended up in the middle of Leicester's guys. I mean, there were more than 50 persons waiting and I have to be in that Leicestershire gathering. Except my next neighbour who was, I suppose considering his accent, from Manchester. You all know I'm tiny, I used to deal with my height but in that case, it was so pathetic. And that guy, to start a conversation with me, only found "You look rubbish" ... Thank. Though, he wasn't that better in view of his lack of beer in his hands. That's actually what I replied to him and you know what he did? He took me in his arms, and put me just in front of the bar, despite the recrimination of everybody who was waiting. Well, they all were more amused than angry, and oh so cute with me. Which was somehow more embarrassing than if they were only angry.

Anyway, it's not like I don't used to live that kind of stories. I made my way to the venue inside the building (because, dude, the SECC is huge! O_o ) to at least see Kasabian.

I assume you all know how Kasabian are now, I don't need to really talk about it. Except maybe for a few things:
- First, Cutt Off, Processed Beats, I.D. and Stuntman are back in the setlist.
- Second, lots of people said, with their first album and gigs that, their shows are like huge masses. Considering what they currently do on stage for their UK tour, I'm wondering what those persons could add now. I'll show you pics, you'll understand. New décor, new rituals, new costumes. We are fully in the mass' style right now.
* Gig starting with Dave (a roadie) coming on stage with incense.
* Band members with costumes (and Ian with make up! And believe me, that really suits him)
* Tom with a skull and a lighter at the beginning of Doberman
* Tom coming back on stage on Vlad with ... well, you'll see.
* And I forgot plenty of things but I suppose you got the thing.
- Third, that's probably the millionth time I say it, but it was so strong and beautiful. One of my neighbour cried during L.S.F.
He wasn't stoned or drunk if you wonder, but that's true I didn't ask him if it was his first Kasabian's gig. Well, the crowd was really awesome so that's true the huge L.S.F. sing along was wonderful and strong.
- Fourth, I have nearly no clue why but in the middle of Stuntman, one of my neighbours started talking to me. Though, that was cute.

After the show, I found my dear [info]swarfiga and we came back to our hostel, despite the aftershow.
We spent the night looking at pics, as she was at their gigs in Aberdeen and Newcastle. So, after less than one hour of sleep, I made my way to the railstation to come back to London.
The day before I found out there was a Doctor Who exhibition in Glasgow, I didn't know they opened one here. So sadly I wasn't able to go and take a look at is, but it will be for another time. Really soon actually. I was "lost" somewhere in the SECC when I've seen an advert for the exhibition. It was one of those moments, you know, when you see something and think your mind is tricking you. Another ashaming moment in my life as I suddenly stopped walking, starring at it, mouth opened. Well, you can picture it.
The rain was tricky as well, as it started raining when I left the hostel and stopped when I found my train.
The day before, as the night came around 3pm (no joke), I couldn't have a look at the landscape. I did it that morning, and what a pleasure to cross the sea! I don't have pics to show for now as I used a film system camera. Anyway, I really missed be in UK and specially in Scotland. What a wonderful place. That is so sad I didn't stay a bit longer, because I weirdly really felt at home there. And scottish guys, what a funny bunch of awesome guys!

I was a bit depressed when I came back, as I missed UK and couldn't stay more. You remember I said my next stop will be Cardiff?
So, I decided to go over there from the 30th of November to the 3rd of December as Christmas and B-Day gift.
I already scheduled some things:
- The 30th: La Cage Aux Folles in London, hopefully. Don't ask, my only answer to "Why?!" will be John Barrowman.
- The 1st: Doctor Who Exhibition and sightseeing, in case there's something else to look at except the Doctor Who/Torchwood tour. Well, why not, that's how I discovered Cardiff and thought I could like it. I kow it's kinda silly to say "I would love to try to escape from the predictable Doctor Who Karma while I'm sightseeing" because it's really hard (like not thinking of Kasabian while you're in Leicester. Not my fault if I crossed Serge!) but I'll try anyway.
- The 2nd: Probably a Physics seminar, if I manage to get into Cardiff Uni and understand a thing.

Something else? Hum not really.

* Ah yes, I do have a Twitter now. Well, honestly, it's only to follow blogs from Howard Wolowitz and Barney Stimpson. I know, too much TV for me.

* I brought back from ashes my Flickr account too. But you can find there every pics you can find here.

* And and as long as my dear [info]nenya_22 will not take a look at Doctor Who (I feel like I'm talking a bit too much about it in that post...), I will harass her with my daily reasons. #1: David Tennant tongue (made by [info]m_i_a_s_m_a )
Doctor Who Tales, on my Facebook account.

* My mate [info]swarfiga will come on Sunday, to see Depeche Mode in Lyon. (Yeah, don't bother if you don't have news from me after Monday, that would mean I'm just recovering from my meeting with the band)

That's all for now I think, have all a nice weekend!
xx

Ay up!
Well, just to say, I'm heading to Glasgow tomorrow, to see Kasabian, a mate, and of course the city.
I'll probably be back on Friday. Though, I'll try to stay until saturday.
I so can't wait to be in Scotland.
Next stop (next trip), definitely Cardiff.
Anyway, see you this weekend for lots of stories (hopefully)

xx

I was watching TV with my sister and mum the other day and started to look at Torchwood. Which was a bad idea it seems, seeing the reaction of both my mum and sister!

I'm currently watching the first season with David Tennant (dear him ♥ ), can't get that song out of my head!
Dear Lord, how I missed the Doctor... ♥
I let you with the song, have all a nice week!
